Track What Matters ("TWM", "we", "us") is a brand of Roadcast Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., B-66, Second Floor, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase II, New Delhi, Delhi 110028. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have when you:
- visit or shop on www.trackwhatmatters.in (the "Store");
- use the TWM mobile app on Android or iOS (the "App"); or
- use a TWM GPS tracker, ID card, dash cam or other device (a "Device").

- We do not sell your personal data or your Devices' location data.
- We do not use location data or children's data for advertising.
- You can see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent, by contacting us.

- KYC details: identity and address details that telecom rules require for SIMs supplied with Devices.
3. Why we use your data
- To provide the Services: process and deliver orders, activate Devices and SIMs, show live location and history, send alerts, and manage renewals.
- Customer support: troubleshoot Devices, handle replacements, refunds and warranty claims, and respond to your requests.
- Safety and security: prevent fraud and misuse, secure accounts, and investigate misuse of Devices, such as tracking someone without their consent.
- Improving the Services: understand how the Store and App are used and fix problems, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible.
- Marketing: send offers and product updates about TWM products and show relevant ads on other websites. This is based on your Store activity only, never on Device location or children's data. You can opt out at any time.
- Legal compliance: meet tax, accounting, telecom KYC and other legal obligations, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you place an order, create an account or activate a Device. We also process it for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as fulfilling a purchase you asked for or complying with a legal obligation.
4. Tracking other people and children
Many TWM Devices are used to keep family members safe. If you set up a Device for another adult, such as an elderly parent, you must tell them and get their consent. If you set up a Device for a child, you confirm that you are their parent or lawful guardian and consent on their behalf.
We process a child's data only to provide the Device's safety features, such as real-time location, safe-zone alerts and SOS. We do not use children's data for advertising, profiling or behavioural monitoring, and we do not sell it. Parents and guardians can view, correct or delete their child's data at any time by contacting us.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed to provide the Services, with:
- People you choose: family members or others you invite to view a Device in the App.
- Shopify, which hosts our Store (see section 6).
- Service providers that work for us under contract, including payment gateways, courier and logistics partners, telecom operators (for SIM activation and KYC), cloud hosting, maps and location services, customer support and messaging tools, and analytics and advertising partners (such as Google and Meta). Device location is not shared with advertising partners.
- Group companies of Roadcast Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. that help us run the Services.
- Authorities, where required by law or valid legal process, or to protect someone's safety.
- A buyer or successor in case of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, subject to this Policy.
6. Relationship with Shopify
Our Store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal data about your access to and use of the Store in order to provide and improve it. Information you submit on the Store is shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be located outside India. To help protect, grow and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that combine data from your interactions with our Store, with other merchants and with Shopify. For these features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal data, including responding to requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise rights over Shopify's use of your data through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
7. Cookies
The Store uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember preferences, measure traffic and show relevant ads. You can control cookies through the cookie banner (where shown) and your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Store works.
8. Where your data is stored
Your data may be stored and processed in India and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, including through Shopify. When data is transferred outside India, we do so as permitted under Indian law and require providers to protect it.
9. How long we keep data
- Order and invoice records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Account data: while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data unless we need to keep it by law.
- Device location history: kept while your account and Device plan are active, so you can view past trips, and for a limited period after your plan expires so you can renew without losing history. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
- Logs: kept for at least one year for security and legal compliance.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and restricted staff access, to protect your data. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your data when it is no longer needed, or delete your account;
- withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide tracking for a Device, and does not affect processing that already took place;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- raise a grievance with us and, if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any right, email marketing@trackwhatmatters.in or our Grievance Officer (below). We may need to verify your identity first. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and from SMS by replying as instructed or contacting us.
12. Third-party links
The Store and App may link to third-party websites and services, such as app stores, courier tracking pages or social media. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their practices.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the App.
