Student ID Card GPS Tracker: How It Works
Short answer
A student ID card GPS tracker is a tracker shaped like a school ID card and worn like one. The TWM 4G ID Card GPS Tracker shows live location in the app, has an SOS button that sends an alert with the location, supports two-way calling, and alerts you when your child leaves a safe zone such as school. It costs ₹4,949 with a 1-year SIM included.
What it does
- Live location over 4G.
- An SOS button. One press sends an alert and the wearer's location to the contacts you set.
- Two-way calling on the device itself.
- Safe zones for school and home, with an alert when one is crossed.
- Route history.
Why a card and not a watch
Under about 8, no screen beats a smartwatch. A card has nothing to play with in class and nothing to show off. Check your school's rules before you send one in.
Tell the child
A tracker is for the person wearing it. Show your child what the card is and how the SOS button works. It's just as useful for a parent who lives alone, or for anyone commuting late.
