The short answer

Qubo says it's the biggest dash cam brand in India, and for many buyers it's the right choice. If you're looking for a Qubo dash cam alternative, compare the same things you'd check on any camera: front and rear resolution, parking mode, GPS, Wi-Fi band, heat handling, warranty and the total cost with installation. On 8 October 2026, TWM was cheaper at every tier we compared: a 4K front-and-rear camera with GPS for ₹5,990 against Qubo's ₹13,990, and a 3-channel camera for ₹4,990 against Qubo's ₹10,990. Qubo has hundreds of reviews per model and publishes more about its hardware. The details are below.

Updated on 8 October 2026 for the new TWM range, with current prices. Prices may change after that date, so check each product page before you buy.

We sell dash cams, so this page isn't neutral, and we won't pretend it is. What we can do is stick to what each brand publishes. Every Qubo detail below comes from Qubo's own website or its Google Play listing, and every TWM detail from our own product pages. Where a spec isn't published, the table says "Not stated". We haven't guessed any of it.

You'll also find a section further down called "When Qubo is the better pick". It has 5 entries. We'd rather you read that here than work it out after you've bought ours.

Who this page is for

You've probably looked at Qubo already. Maybe a friend has one, or it came up first on Amazon. You want to know if something else fits your car and budget better, or you just want a second opinion before you pay.

If you haven't narrowed down a resolution yet, start with 2K vs 4K dash cams. If you want the wider market, read our guide to the best dash cam for a car in India.

What Qubo does well

Qubo is made by Hero Electronix. In June 2025, Qubo said it had sold over 4 lakh dash cams and claimed 50 to 60% of the passenger-car dash cam segment in India. That's a big lead, and it wasn't won by accident.

  • A clear range. Qubo's dash cams come in 3 tiers: High Performance, Essential and Connected (4G Live). You can pick by budget without reading spec sheets.
  • ADAS on private-car models. Qubo says select High Performance models offer ADAS driver alerts. Our only camera with ADAS is the AI Dash Cam, which is built for fleets.
  • Paid installation you can book online. Qubo sells installation and demo at ₹706.82 for a single-channel camera and ₹1,178.82 for dual or three-channel, including 18% GST. You book it by pincode, and not every area is covered.
  • Lots of reviews. Hundreds of ratings per model tell you more than a few dozen do. Our current cameras launched in October 2026 and don't have reviews yet.
  • Supercapacitors. Qubo lists a supercapacitor instead of a battery on the models we checked. That helps in Indian summer heat.

Qubo cameras use the QuboPro app to set up the camera and download clips. It was rated 3.8 stars from about 4,470 reviews on Google Play on 1 October 2026. TWM cameras use the TWM - Track What Matters app, on Android and iOS. It's new and has too few ratings to compare, so we haven't counted the app as a point for either side.

What to compare in any dash cam

Use this list for Qubo, TWM or any other brand. If a listing doesn't answer one of these, ask the seller before you buy.

  1. Resolution, front and rear. Many dual cameras have a sharp front and a 1080p rear. Check both numbers.
  2. Channels. Front only, front and rear, or front, cabin and rear.
  3. Field of view. A wider lens covers more lanes. Compare the degrees for each camera.
  4. Parking mode, and how it's powered. Many parking modes need the camera wired to the car battery with a hardwire kit. Ask if the kit is included. Our installation and parking mode guide explains the options.
  5. GPS. Stamps location on the footage. Useful for insurance claims.
  6. Wi-Fi band. 5GHz moves large video files to your phone faster than 2.4GHz.
  7. The app. Check its store rating and when it was last updated.
  8. Heat tolerance. A car parked in the sun in May gets very hot inside. Supercapacitors cope better than lithium batteries. Ask for the operating temperature.
  9. Warranty and replacement terms.
  10. Total cost. Camera, hardwire kit and microSD card if they aren't in the box, and installation.

Number 10 is the one people skip. A camera that looks cheaper on the listing can end up dearer once a kit, a card and installation are added, so total it up for every camera on your shortlist, ours included.

On paper these 2 are close: 4K front, 1080p rear, GPS, a G-sensor and a screen of about the same size. The A3 costs ₹8,000 less. It also records in H.265, which fits more footage on a card. Qubo's page names its sensor, supports cards up to 1TB and lists a supercapacitor, and those are real points in its favour.

We'll say it plainly. On the numbers published today, we think the A3 is the better buy unless the named sensor, the 1TB card or 662 reviews matter more to you than ₹8,000.

Qubo vs TWM: around ₹5,000 to ₹6,500

The S2 costs ₹1,800 less and records the road ahead in 4K rather than 2K. With installation booked from each brand, Qubo comes to about ₹7,669 and the S2 to ₹5,680. The S2 is small, with a 1.47-inch screen, so you'll review footage mostly on your phone. Qubo's case is 617 reviews, a published field of view and a supercapacitor.

If you'd rather have 2K with a big screen, our A6 costs ₹8,496, which is ₹2,006 more than the Qubo Pro 2K. For that you get CarPlay and Android Auto on a 4.5-inch screen, and a hardwire cable in the box for 24-hour parking surveillance.

Qubo vs TWM: 3 channels

Qubo's Trio is a 2K QHD camera that records the front, the cabin and the rear. It was ₹10,990 against an MRP of ₹19,990, with a 4.4 rating from 986 reviews on Qubo's site on 1 October 2026.

Our R3 is ₹4,990. It records 2K in front and 1080p in the cabin and behind, with a 3.39-inch touch screen, an F2.0 lens, a G-sensor and parking monitoring. That's ₹6,000 less for the same 3 views. Qubo's page gives too little detail on the Trio for a row-by-row table, so compare the 2 product pages yourself before you decide.

When Qubo is the better pick

  • You weigh review volume heavily. Qubo has hundreds of reviews per model, and our current cameras have none yet.
  • Heat worries you. Qubo publishes a supercapacitor on the models we checked. Our pages don't state what our cameras use.
  • You want a named sensor, or room for a 1TB card. The Qubo Pro 4K lists both.
  • You want ADAS in a camera made for a private car. Qubo offers it on select High Performance models. Ours is in the AI Dash Cam, which is built for fleets.
  • You want to book installation online by pincode, and Qubo covers your area.

When TWM is the better pick

  • Price comes first. On 8 October 2026, TWM was cheaper at each tier we compared: ₹8,000 less at 4K, ₹1,800 less around ₹5,000 to ₹6,500, and ₹6,000 less for 3 channels.
  • You want 4K with GPS without paying for the top tier. The TWM A3 has both for ₹5,990.
  • You want a cabin camera. The TWM R3 costs less than half the Trio.
  • Your car's stereo has no CarPlay. The TWM A6 adds it and records at the same time.
  • You run vehicles for a business. The TWM AI Dash Cam watches the road and the driver and sends live video over 4G. TWM is sold by Roadcast Tech Solutions, which builds fleet tracking and video telematics systems.

Every TWM camera ships free, with a 7-day replacement for defective or damaged units. You can see them all in our dash cam collection.

Other alternatives worth a look
